Dr. Donato Balsamo is a board-certified physician in Family Practice. He has been honored by the American Osteopathic Association as one of America’s Top Family Doctors. In 2010, Dr. Balsamo was named Man of the Year by the Suffolk County (N.Y.) Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. A 1995 graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Balsamo has been in practice at Long Island Health and Wellness in Amityville, N.Y., since 2003. He is also attending physician at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, N.Y., since 1998; and attending physician at St. Catherine’s of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown, N.Y., since 2006. Dr. Balsamo serves on the board of directors of Primary Partner Care Management Group. He holds several certifications, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dr. Balsamo believes in doing what it takes for his patients to achieve optimal health. He does this by building trust with his patients with his great bedside manner and continued focus on providing evidence-based practices to them. At the end of the day, Dr. Balsamo truly cares for his patients and will go above and beyond to make sure they get the care they need.
